A surgeon meets the forest

Assigned to Romblon in 2018, a surgeon traded his scalpel for a shovel - the operating room for the forest. Through the Philippine Native Trees group, he discovered the quiet richness of our forests: hardwoods and heritage species found nowhere else on Earth.

Falling for Nature

The more he learned, the clearer it became — the Philippines is one of the world's most biodiverse nations, yet few Filipinos know the names of the trees that are their cultural inheritance. That gap became a calling: to make his passion around Philippine flora something every Filipino could love and protect.

The wealth in our roots

Among these native treasures is lapnisan — Philippine agarwood. Resin-rich, world-renowned, and among the most valuable natural materials on Earth. Proof that our biodiversity isn't only beautiful; it is a foundation for prosperity.

The first seedlings

It started small — our first nursery partner, rows of seedlings, and a belief that idle land could become living wealth. From those first trees a model took shape: plant, inoculate, protect, harvest.

A mission for every Filipino

Dendrotonics grew with a purpose beyond profit: to help Filipinos rediscover their native trees, to champion Flora Filipiniana, and to prove that restoring biodiversity and building livelihoods are the same work.
